Laptop's back again. This time I took in a blank DVD and burned it in the store. Worked fine there. I'm told they replaced the drive this time. Still, I'm going to hold off on trying any more for a bit. If it breaks again I'll have to take it back again and I'd like to actually have the machine at home for a while. Also, now that we have the external drive, burning DVDs is no longer as much of a necessity as it was. I'll wait until I actually have a reason to burn a disc to try it again (or shortly before the warranty's up).
