I don't know that I'd agree with that. Would a book snob really bother to have slogged through the last few WoT books before having the author die on him? I'm not hard to entertain; if I don't like your writing, there's something SERIOUSLY wrong. I'll put up with acres of bad writing if I'm already invested in an author or story.
