From Crystal Gorge, book three of The Dreamers by David and Leigh Eddings. I haven't actually read this book, it's just the only one downstairs. I just bought it, and it hasn't been put away yet.

Sometimes Spam is actually amusing enough to be worth getting )

I just find these things both highly amusing, and a little bit sad. I suppose there's no point in pointing out that:

1) The Nobel prize is given for experimental work, not theoretical,
2) None of these "papers" have been peer-reviewed, or for that matter have any scientific basism, and that
3) You don't submit work to the "committee" for consideration. If you've done anything that's worth the prize, people know about it.

There needs to be a Nobel Prize for Crackpottery to recognize the zaniest ideas people come up with.
