Literally. Yesterday, we just paid too much money for a Dyson vacuum cleaner, but we had a 20% off coupon for Bed, Bath, and Bodyworks and Linens 'n' Things and Beyond, so it was only 80% of too much. But it appears to be worth the price. Of course, once we got it home, before we could try it out, we had to spend three hours picking up around the house in order to expose the carpets. Boy, did they need a good vacuuming. We had to empty the chamber like four times, but the design of the vacuum made that ridiculously easy. We haven't been vacuuming much lately because we only had a handheld vac. We only had a handheld, because the uprights kept failing, so why bother spending money on them? The handheld was ok when we lived in Colorado, but we have too much floor space now. Although I suppose I shouldn't complain about that.
I also got a burr-style coffee grinder, but haven't tried that one out yet.
Went to the cherry-blossom festival in SF Japantown. It was fun, but almost entirely devoid of cherry blossoms. There was aan anime cosplay section in the parade, and someone did a fantiastic Link-wolf from LoZ:TP, complete with a Midna. And Mayor Gavin Newsom on a giant segway thingy. Pictures forthcoming.
