My talk went much better than I expected and was very well received. I was rather surprised. I was just thrilled to be able to give it at all, since we had quite some thunderstorms today. I was afraid we'd lose power. At least I finished before the HAIL started. One of the later talks in the session was punctuated by thunderclaps. "God does not approve of your crater relaxation model." Francis tried to ask a question of the speaker after that one and she could not hear him despite the fact that he was shouting into a microphone. That's how loud the hail was. No useful sessions in the morning, so I can sleep in. Yay.

Your conference is directly across from the building where I work. If I had known you were here I'd have taken you out for lunch.

Well, I'm here through tomorrow. The conference really needs to not be here though. It outgrew the South Shore Harbor about 5 years ago. Which, is the first year it was there, having moved from JSC after 9/11 because "we can't let them dang furriners steal our space program secrets." They wouldn't let non-US citizens into JSC after that, and roughly half the conference is non-US citizens.

Do pass any comments about the facility or LPSC. Write it down and e-mail or hand it to someone. Comments heard in passing may not be reaclled after all the work we do.

Will do. Though I'm shocked anyone involved is scanning the blogs for LPSC comments.

They wouldn't? There are many international people in the ISS program, I didn't realize that they all had to work off-site. Typical politician's fallacy thinking: something must be done, this is something, therefore we must do this.

Call me tomorrow morning at 540-449-8603 if you want to get lunch somewhere. Or if not that's fine also.

I suck. I got your message and then was way too busy to call. I remembered about the time we were sitting down at T-Bone Tom's.

See you at TCon though.
